The Foundations A Readers are located in the back of the Foundations A Student Workbook. Students will cut out and assemble the readers as a reading comprehension activity. The first reader is introduced in Lesson 25. The Foundations A Teacher's Manual will direct you on when to use each reader.

About the Foundations A Readers 

At first, the Foundations A Readers do not present any images with the text. Instead of relying on the picture to guess the words, students initially decode words or phrases and then match the appropriate picture to the words they read. 

The Foundations A Readers are an excellent early comprehension activity and helps students understand that reading is about words and sounds. Students enjoy the interactive component of creating their readers, and educators love that their students are actively decoding words!

The set of six Foundations A Readers are located in the back of the Foundations A Student Workbook. The Foundations A Student Workbook is included in the Foundations A Set, or the Foundations A Student Workbook may be purchased separately.
